This was such a lovely post, Sherri. So discerning, so moving.

The beautiful interaction between Jesus and Mary at the tomb has always ministered deeply to me. I just love how he speaks her name..."Mary"...and she instantly knows it's him.

When we are in Christ, we are so tuned to hearing our savior's voice (like sheep who know the voice of their shepherd), and it is a joy and a privilege when he speaks our name. How amazing is it that he even knows our names to begin with?!? I think this passage is such a gift to women, to see how tenderly Jesus loves and respects the daughters of the faith.

May your Easter be blessed, my dear blog sister! He is risen! There is no God like our God, no savior like our Jesus, no death anymore!

    Love,

This reminds me of that Tommy Walker song: "He knows my name. He knows my every thought. He sees each tear I cry and hears me when I call"
